- Nellie Mae Yarberry Gibson published: January 05 2004 Nellie Yarberry Gibson, age 86, of Sevierville, passed away Monday, January 5, 2004 at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital. She was a member of Oak City Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Gibson, parents John and Mary Myrtle Yarberry, brother, Pearl Yarberry, sisters, Cecil Johnson, Georgia Bales, Bertha Franklin, Odella Caughron, Mable Thompson, Pauline Boyd, Ann Smith and Naomi Yarberry. She was the last living child of John Yarberry of the Shiloh Community. Survivors: Sons and daughters-in-law: Norman and Elsie Gibson of Seymour, Hubert and Shirley Gibson of Sevierville. Daughter and son-in-law: Mary Ellen Justus and husband Ralph of Seymour Grandsons: Don and Dee Dee Gibson of Pigeon Forge, Rev. Dallas and Lisa Gibson of Seymour, Edward and Tiffany Gibson of Knoxville, Gregory and Debbie Gibson, of Sevierville. Terry and Cozette Justus of Pigeon Forge and Major Dwight and Beth Justus of Honolulu, HI. Step-Granddaughters: Mary Mae and Courtney Heck. Great-grandchildren: Chad and Courtney Gibson of Pigeon Forge, Danielle and Lucas Gibson of Seymour, Ashley Gibson of Texas, Joshua Gibson of Sevierville, Summer and Angela Justus, of Pigeon Forge. Brother-in-law: Darrell Gibson and wife Mary of Seymour. Sisters-in-law: Maisie Gibson, of Sevierville , Ruby Yarberry, of Knoxville. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 7 PM Thursday at Atchley s Seymour Chapel. Rev. Ed Cloud and Rev. Dallas Gibson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10AM Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour and process to Boyds Creek Cemetery for 11AM interment. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to Oak City Baptist Church Building Fund, 211 Main St. Seymour, TN 37865.
