- He's found in the 1910 Miracode Index in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OH: KONST, Victor (47); wife Marie (44); children Alice (17); Emil (15); Joseph (14); Mary (12); Grace (10); Victor (6). Everyone in the household was born in Austria, except for Victor, Jr. who was born in Ohio. He's found in the 1920 census in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OH: KONST, Victor (56); wife Mary (52); son Victor (16). Victor, Sr. immigrated in 1902; Mary in 1904. They both became citizens of the U.S. in 1911. I cannot read their place of birth (Deutschland?), but it does indicate that they were German. Victor, Sr. was a machinist in a machine shop; Victor, Jr. a mechanical apprentice in a railroad shop. When they completed their marriage license application, Victor gave his occupation as painter; Emma was an operator. He's found in the 1930 census in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OH: KONST, Victor (27) and wife Emma (28). They were both born in Ohio. Victor was a finisher for a paint refinishing company; Emma was a floorlady for an electric tube company. Obituary published in the Cleveland Plain Dealer on May 2, 1997 (p. 8B): Victor S. Konst, Jr., 93 of Euclid. Died Thursday. Beloved husband of the late Emma; dear son of the late Victor and Mary; dearest brother of the late Emil, Joseph, Mary, Jenny, Alice Frye and Grace Miller; great aunt [sic] of Ken (wife Sharon) Miller of Hiram.
