- On her daughter Margerite's birth record, her name is given as Marian Mannix; on son Daniel Charles' birth record (as well as his application for marriage license), her name is given as Mary Ann Locke. Since Mannix was the name given in her obituary, however, that is the name we are using here. She's found in the 1930 census in Lakewood, Cuyahoga County, OH: KLOPP, Marian A. (63; widowed); son Lowell G. (30; single); Theodore W. (21; single); BOWMAN, Alpheius T. (son-in-law; 39); Marguaritte (daughter; 38). Marian was born in New York; her parents in the "U.S." Lowell was born in Illinois; his father in Iowa and his mother in New York. Theodore was born in Ohio; his father in Iowa and his mother in New York. Alpheius was born in Canada, as were his parents; Marguaritte was born in South Dakota; her father in Iowa and her mother in New York. Lowell was a machinist in a machine shop; Theodore was a time keeper for a construction company; Alpheius was a commercial trader / auto parts.
